LiceSnatcher™ -
How It Works
The LiceSnatcher™ is connected to a vacuum cleaner, sections of hair are sucked in to the LiceSnatcher™ and combed. The suction creates a powerful air flow that removes the lice from the comb and hair captures them in the LiceSnatcher™’s filter. (No need to manually clear the comb during the treatment, this reduces the treatment time by up to half that of other treatment systems.) (See more:

The LiceSnatcher™ breaks the louse life-cycle. It removes adult lice and immature lice on the first treatment. Immature lice are removed before they can breed on four treatments over two weeks.

TEP 1
: Comb Hair
STEP 2
: Separate into 3 to 6 pony tails
Tip
: The hair should be clean, dry and well conditioned. If the child’s hair is too short for pony tails then separate the hair into sections using hair clips and go to the next step
STEP 3
: Vacuum Comb the first pony tail using short (50mm ,2”)strokes with the teeth of the comb lightly rubbing the scalp. The hair should flutter freely inside the LiceSnatcher™ when combing.

STEP 4
:Finish the pony tail by combing the full length of the hair a few times (3 or 4 is sufficient)

STEP 5
: Replace the hair tie onto the combed pony tail. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each pony tail.
Tip
: Give the child a book or game to occupy them during the treatment
STEP 6:
Open the filter housing on the LiceSnatcher™, place the cover on the filter, Remove the filter and inspect for lice. If you find any lice record how many of each size on the

STEP 7
: Clean or Replace the filter Each LiceSnatcher™ is supplied with six Lice filters and combs. This allows the whole family to be treated quickly and any lice counted without needing to stop and clear combs or filters after each treatment. The Lice filters may be cleaned using soap and water and reused many times before the filter cloth wears out. The Lice filters may also be cleaned in a dishwasher (to 65ºC) to remove any dirt that has built up on the filter.
When washing away the captured lice there is no risk that they will escape as the combination of soap and water immobilises them making it easy to remove them from the filter. Please take care when cleaning the filter cloth as it is not as robust as the rest of the LiceSnatcher™. If you would rather not reuse the filter then dispose of it safely and use a new filter for the next treatment. Replacement filters may be obtained from chemists (available shortly) or from
this web site
.
STEP 8
: Follow the treatment plan Repeat steps 1-7 every 3-4 days to remove all the immature lice as they hatch. After four treatments all the lice will be gone.
